About the Role

Virginkar & Associates, Inc. (VAI) is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team on major infrastructure programs across key U.S. markets. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic partner in delivering successful project outcomes by delivering expert-level planning, scheduling, and cost control solutions. This senior level position is instrumental in overseeing project performance, managing risk, and providing actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and manage master project schedules and integrated cost control systems. 

• Conduct comprehensive schedule impact and delay analyses, including forensic scheduling and mitigation strategy development. 

• Review contractor baseline schedules and updates; issue formal assessments and recommendations.

• Lead budgeting and cost forecasting for complex, multi-phase programs. 

• Oversee cost/schedule integration and execute earned value management (EVM) protocols. 

• Coordinate closely with owner reps, design teams, and contractors to align goals and ensure transparency. 

• Prepare and deliver high-level presentations of schedule and cost data to senior leadership and project stakeholders. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 

• Minimum 12 years’ experience in project controls, particularly within infrastructure or public works projects. 

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms.

• Proven expertise in claims analysis, schedule recovery planning and risk mitigation. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience presenting to executives and client leadership.

• PMP or CCP certification preferred. 

• High ethical standards, attention to detail and commitment to team collaboration.
